LAKE MICHIGAN'S SPIRITED SUMMER KICKOFF
Lake Michigan Shore winemakers, brewers, and distillers gather for their annual Weko Beach party every June. Picture a vast, sun-soaked, dune-backed beach alive with music, dancing, and an all-ages crowd primed for a spirited summer kickoff.
Taste a wide range of LMS wine, beer, cider, and spirits—likely the most you’ll find at a single event—with full pours available once you’ve discovered your favorite. And, of course, a fun collection of food trucks keep everyone fueled for the six-hour celebration.
Tickets go on sale May 1: $10 in advance, $20 at the door. Kids under ten are free. Bring chairs if you like, and maybe an umbrella for shade, as both are limited on festival grounds. Parking is a mile or two offsite with a free shuttle making frequent rounds.
Local Tip: Payment at the fest is old-school, so come with cash. The nearest ATM is back in town, and while the shuttle’s convenient, better to avoid the buzzkill.
