Cam Mammina and Alex Cihlar are the proud owners of what locals call the ‘Cheers of Sawyer.’ At this indoor-outdoor bar and kitchen, regulars and first-timers happily mingle. Fans of both clever riffs on classic cocktails and $1 canned beers feel equally seen. Kids can be kids. Parents can relax. And dogs (on leashes) are welcome to stretch outside in the sun.
Have a large group? No problem, they’ll pull up more chairs. Special dietary needs? Their ‘Fresh to Death’ menu of remarkably great bar food has veggie, vegan, and gluten-free options. Food and drinks are counter-service, but if you need help carrying anything, just ask.
It’s a place that’s as accommodating as it is easygoing. Fun, too. Go once and you’ll likely find yourself there again—maybe even later the same weekend. Like all great hosts, Cam and Alex make everyone feel at home in the ’Yard.
