Elevating queer community and expression

Although our corridor of the lakeshore has a long-established LGBTQ+ community representing significant contributions to business, art, and culture, it took two creative young 20-somethings to launch its first ‘official’ celebration of Pride in 2021.

Now in its fifth year, Harbor Country Pride is an enthusiastically embraced occasion for music, dance, drag, advocacy, and family fun. Highlights in this year’s lineup: A dive bar ‘Karaokaaaaay’ night, a teen beach meetup, and a ‘Madonna Rama’ dance party.
