OUR SERIES OF ART IN UNEXPECTED PLACES

We’re thrilled to welcome groundbreaking jazz drummer and composer Quin Kirchner and his band for our final concert of the summer. An intimate private performance on the stunning pool deck of Apple Blossom Resort, admission for this BYO event is limited to 75 guests. Doors open at 6, music begins at 7, and everyone is encouraged to stay, mingle, and enjoy the grounds until dark.

About Quin Kirchner

Quin Kirchner is a drummer and composer from Chicago, Illinois. His latest album, The Shadows and The Light (2020, Astral Spirits), is a genre-eluding suite that documents ‘a true renaissance in Chicago jazz.’ (Pitchfork).

After chapters in New Orleans and New York, Quin now lives and works in his hometown, where he remains a leader in Chicago’s close-knit jazz and experimental music community. Over two decades, he has recorded and toured with Jeff Parker, Ryley Walker, NOMO, Wild Belle, and many others, appearing on stages that include the Chicago Jazz Festival, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Austin City Limits, and Coachella.

For this special New Buffalo debut, Quin will be accompanied by Greg Ward (alto saxophone), Paul Bedal (piano), and Matt Ulery (bass).
