A CELEBRATION OF VISIONARY, FOLK, AND OUTSIDER ART

Each Labor Day, Judith Racht Gallery presents Outsiders Outside Art Fair, gathering 40+ folk and self-taught artists from across the country at the gallery’s landmark vintage schoolhouse grounds. Racht is a longstanding advocate for intuitive work and a respected centerpiece of the lakeshore art community. Her annual fair draws throngs of serious collectors, fans, and the simply curious for a highly original and entertaining visual feast.

Day passes are $10, with the exception of the Friday evening opening to benefit Michiana Humane Society, a $25 ticket that includes weekend-long admission, music, cash bar and food, and a chance to rub elbows with a colorful and engaging art scene.

Local Tip: If you come away primed for even more visual stimulation, Alchemy, Sojourn, and Window Shopping are fantastic stops minutes away. Then, debrief over wine and oysters at nearby newcomer Out There.
