An academic passion for design fuels the stunning aesthetic at Ariane Prewitt’s shops. Two side-by-side spaces in a quiet lakeside village, one might be surprised to find the remarkable mix of refined contemporary fashion and artful handcrafts at AP.

Sourced from a global line-up of designers and artists, Ariane gravitates toward graceful forms, craftsmanship, natural materials, and quiet color. Clothes and objects that are decidedly modern, tactile, and functional. As an astute vintage collector, former visual merchandiser at Barney’s, and professor of fashion studies, Ariane has a distinctive eye for clothes and objects destined to remain relevant.

In one shop, find investment-worthy clothing, shoes, and accessories minimally styled with small collections of handcrafts. In the other—a lovely little cottage, actually—Ariane lets her imagination play with themed pop-ups, vintage sales, and one-of-a-kind maker shows. Both are a joy to browse and highly likely to offer an enduring score for your wardrobe or home.

Much of the fashion at AP is limited release and pop-ups, by nature, ephemeral. Follow the shops at @apshoplakeside for early announcements.
