Seven curated shops along the Lake Michigan shore

Vintage and antique enthusiasts: There are gems along the Lake Michigan shore.

In beautifully curated shops, you’ll find one-of-a-kind furniture, art, and décor with the soul and character to transform a room—and bring on the thrill of discovery.

You’ll also meet welcoming shopkeepers along the way, many of whom decamped from Midwestern design hubs to find more space and creative freedom in the country. Experts in their trade, they freely share styling tips and the stories behind their collections.

With our guide, you can explore the lakeshore’s standout antique and vintage shops in one treasure-filled day. It starts just outside New Buffalo and makes an easy loop with seven stops. Our map helps you stay the course. Happy hunting!

Local Tip: Along Red Arrow Highway, keep your eyes peeled for sprawling, multivendor antique malls—especially the pickers’ paradises near Lakeside, Harbert, and Sawyer. When it’s time for lunch or a quick snack, our favorites are all within driving distance, too.
